In this model, the Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is shown connecting the nuclear envelope to the extracellular fluid.
This is incorrect!  Rough ER surrounds the nucleus in layers; it does connect to the nuclear envelope,
but it does NOT connect to the plasma membrane at all.
