I have been teaching full-time at TJC since 1992. I teach Zoology and Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology. I am a native New Yorker from the Southern Tier area, home of IBM and the Endicott-Johnson shoe industry. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New York at Albany and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Ever since my graduate school days in the Sunshine State, I have been a "southerner."

We have an absolutely wonderful zoo in Tyler named the Caldwell Zoo after the founders, Mr. & Mrs. D. K. Caldwell.  Not only is it a delightful place for children to visit, but also the zoo is actively involved in the Species Survival Plan.
